Quagga is a recessive dominant mutation meaning it needs two copies to show, Quagga also needs at least one copy of dun to show. Otherwise, it won't express. Due to this, a lot of Quagga Beatus are Quagga carriers.

Traits and Markings
Two copies of Quagga and at least one copy of dun are need for Quagga to display
Supresses all barring on the body, dorsal stripe and counter shading will still display
Stripes are darker than points

Other Gene Interactions
Quagga can display above or below white markings

Quagga Range
Blue is the minimum required expression.
Yellow is the maximum optional expression.
Red is the area expression is not allowed.

Scales was a winner of our 2019 Mutation Contest!
Scales causes keratinous scaling on the body.

When breeding a Scales the foals scales colors will be directly influenced by the parent or parents. Meaning, colors and locations. They won't be exact copies, but there does need to be influence.

Traits and Markings
Keratinous scaling on body
Scales will be any one color
Scales can be different shades(ie; alternating shades of red, or a light to dark red gradient)
Min expression requires Scales to be present in at least two different spots on the body
Max expression causes Angels and Nephilims to no longer grow tail feathers

Other Gene Interactions
White markings display on the scales

Scales Range
Blue is the minimum required expression.
Yellow is the maximum optional expression.
Red is the area expression is not allowed.

Bald (Rare)

Category: Coat Mutations
Trait Count - 3

A bald Beatus is like a Sphynx cat. They don't grow fur, or at times, they grow a very thin coat. They are prone to sunburn and need specialized riding tack to not irritate their skin.

Designing a Bald Beatus can be tricky at times. The easiest way is to design them with a thin coat, as that changes the design the least. However, you must include more skin than what's on a normal import.
Another way to go about designing a bald Beatus, is to give them no fur what-so-ever. In this manner, their 'coat' is just their skin color. Most white markings will display on a full bald, and some mutations. BA mutations are still in debate about what will and won't show on a full bald coat.

Tusk (Rare)

Category: Head Mutations
Trait Count - 3

Tusk causes canines to grow upwards from the bottom jaw, instead of downwards from the top jaw.

Natural Single Horn (Rare)

Category: Head Mutations
Trait Count - 3

Horns aren't a very common sight in BAs, but have begun to be more prevalent in domesticated Beatus'. Almost no wild BAs have been seen with horns, excluding those seen with Fawncy, and even when a wild BA is seen to have horns, they aren't extravagant. Wild Beatus that have horns will often have more basic horns that aid them in survival.

Natural Horns are seen on all BAs, but more commonly seen in domesticated BAs than wild ones. Horns will be fairly neutral and match a color on the coat, most typically, they're seen being the same color as the hooves. Color muts DO still go over natural horn colors.
A single is will always be a singular lone horn, typically located on the forehead or along the center line of the face.
Horns can be connected, either to themselves or to other horns.

Overgrown Teeth (Rare)

Category: Head Mutations
Trait Count - 3

Overgrown Teeth causes a BAs teeth to grow larger and sharper than normal, this is most commonly see in either the canine or sometimes referred to as 'shark teeth'. OG Teeth is most commonly seen on Demons and their Crosstypes.

Toothless (Rare)

Category: Head Mutations
Trait Count - 3

Gigantism (Rare)

Category: Other Mutations
Trait Count - 3

Gigantism causes a Beatus to be 4 hands taller than the average range or parent range. For example, the average Angel height is 13-15, so a giant range would be 17-19.
Can be Rolled in Breedings

Dwarfism (Rare)

Category: Other Mutations
Trait Count - 3

Dwarfism causes a Beatus to be 4 hands shorter than the average range or parent range. For example, the average Angel height is 13-15, so a dwarf range would be 9-11.
Can be Rolled in Breedings

Effects
Depending on their height, dwarf Beatus cannot be ridden by adults over 5'[use your best judgment based on height of the BA]

Double Uterus (Rare)

Category: Other Mutations
Trait Count - 3

Double Uterus means mares and hermaphrodites have two uteri, this increases their chances of multiples and delivering those multiples safely. Stallions can carry double uterus. BAs with double uterus will have no visual differences from a single uterus.

Back Mane (Rare)

Category: Other Mutations
Trait Count - 3
